Luffa cylindrica Slow Pyrolysis and Solar Pyrolysis: Impact of Temperature and Heating Rate on Biochar Properties and Iodine Adsorption Performance

Recently, Luffa cylindrica has been drawing lots of attention in adsorption applications. However, the contaminated biomass needs to be properly disposed. Pyrolysis is a process capable turning this type residue into valuable product. pyrolysis produces biochar which used as adsorbent for various cationic and organic species. Additionally, use solar power heat reactor reduces environmental impact pyrolysis. In work, lab-scale pyrolizer was built 40-dollar budget. This previously subjected slow an electrical at temperatures (300, 400, 500 °C) heating rates (2, 10, 20 °C min−1) assess influence these parameters on properties.
